If you're a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) give you specific rights over your personal information. This notice explains those rights and how to exercise them.

1. Categories of personal info LotPilot collects
In the past 12 months, LotPilot has collected the following categories of personal information from California residents:
- Identifiers (name, email, phone, IP address)
- Commercial information (vehicles you searched for, listings you saved, appointments you booked)
- Internet activity (pages viewed, time on page, referring source)
- Geolocation (general region from IP, not precise GPS)
- Inferences drawn from the above (vehicle preferences, shopping intent)
2. Why we collect it
- To run the site and the AI chat experience.
- To connect you with the specific dealer you're interested in.
- To improve our matching and recommendation quality.
- To detect fraud and abuse.
3. Who we share it with
LotPilot shares personal information only with the dealer you've chosen to contact about a specific vehicle. We also use service providers (hosting, security, analytics) under contracts that prohibit them from using your data for their own purposes.
LotPilot does not sell personal information. We do not share it with lead aggregators, ad networks, or data brokers.
4. Your CCPA rights
- Right to know: Request a list of the categories and specific pieces of personal info we've collected about you in the past 12 months.
- Right to delete: Request deletion of personal info we've collected.
- Right to correct: Ask us to correct inaccurate personal info.
- Right to opt out of sale/sharing: Although we don't sell or share for ads, you have the right to direct us not to. See Do Not Sell My Info.
- Right to limit use of sensitive info: Limit how we use sensitive categories (e.g. account credentials).
- Right to non-discrimination: We won't treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.
5. How to exercise your rights
Email [email protected] with the subject "CCPA Request" and include the type of request (access, deletion, correction, opt-out). We'll verify your identity, then respond within 45 days. You may also designate an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf.
6. Global Privacy Control
LotPilot honors the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a valid opt-out of any data sharing for California residents.
