OPT OUT

Do not sell
or share my info.

LotPilot does not sell personal information. We never have. We don't share your contact info with lead aggregators, ad networks, or data brokers. Your data goes only to the specific dealer you've chosen to contact — never anywhere else.

1. The short version

LotPilot's entire business model is built on not selling shopper data. Dealers pay us to be reachable; we don't make money by reselling your info. There's nothing to opt out of in the traditional sense.

That said, you have the right to formally request that we not sell or share your personal information, and we honor that request.

2. Submit an opt-out request

You have three ways to formally opt out:

  • Email: Send a message to [email protected] with the subject "Do Not Sell Request".
  • Global Privacy Control: Turn on GPC in your browser (Brave, DuckDuckGo, Firefox extensions all support it). We honor the GPC signal automatically for every California resident.
  • Authorized agent: You may have someone else submit the request on your behalf. They must provide written proof of authorization.

3. What happens after you opt out

  • You'll receive an acknowledgment within 10 business days.
  • We'll verify your identity (we need to confirm the request is really from you).
  • Within 45 days, we'll confirm in writing that your opt-out is active.
  • The opt-out is permanent until you change it.

4. We won't treat you differently

Opting out does not affect the quality of the service. We will not raise prices, deny you access, or limit functionality because you opted out. The CCPA prohibits that, and we agree with the principle.

5. Limits

An opt-out request does not stop us from:

  • Sending your info to the specific dealer you've directly contacted about a specific vehicle (that's the service).
  • Retaining records required by law (e.g. accounting, fraud detection).
  • Using your info to detect security incidents or protect against malicious activity.
